  ~ PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB THE TREE ~ This tree creates one of the more famous spots in New Zealand to take an awesome picture. It has been there for 70+ years. Take all of the pics you want, but please do not hang on or climb the tree. I can't believe people even do this, but they do. If people keep climbing the tree and damaging the limbs like someone did right before Christmas last year the local government will be forced to put up a fence around it. That will completely ruin the vibe and sights of the lake and surrounding area. Just enjoy being there. Take your shot then put your selfie stick away and just enjoy being in such a stunning place.
